Our origin
A friendship built in L.A. A brand built for families.
Jon and Michael met at an ad agency in Los Angeles. Both new parents, both searching for the same thing: a play mat that didn’t look like a toy store exploded in their living room.
They traded “clunky and bright” for “curated and calm” — drawing on global textiles and modern textures to create mats that work as hard as your kids do, without clashing with your home.
Little Landings was born from that shared frustration and a genuine friendship that turned into a creative partnership.
Meet the founders
The people behind every mat
Jon leads design and brand direction at Little Landings, bringing a background in advertising and a parent’s-eye perspective to every product decision. He lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts with his wife Amanda and their two children, Brooks and Blake.
His approach: every mat must pass the “would I actually want this in my living room?” test before it ever reaches a customer.
Michael oversees operations, supplier relationships, and growth strategy, ensuring every Little Landings product meets the same quality bar the brand was built on. He lives in Columbus with his wife Lindsay and their children, Maya and Griffin.
His philosophy: the details customers never see — material sourcing, safety testing, fulfilment — are the ones that build lasting trust.
