How larger sizes are built

Combine base mats to reach larger sizes

The four largest configurations are assembled by joining two or more base mats together. All tiles interlock seamlessly — there are no visible joins.

Common questions

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Contact our team — we’re happy to help you choose the right size.

What size play mat do I need for my living room?

The 6×8 ft is our most popular choice for living rooms. At 48 square feet, it fits comfortably in front of a sofa without dominating the space. For larger open-plan areas, the 6×10 ft is a great upgrade.

How big is each foam tile?

Every tile is 2×2 ft (24×24 inches) and interlocks with neighbouring tiles. Each tile is 0.5 inches thick, providing premium foam cushioning for safe play on hard floors.

Can I expand my play mat to a larger size later?

Yes — all tiles and edge pieces are available individually. Start with a smaller size and add more tiles as your child grows or you move to a larger space.

What is the largest play mat size available?

The largest configuration is 10×12 ft (120 sq ft), made from 30 tiles and 60 edge pieces. It’s built by combining one 4×6 ft mat with two 6×8 ft mats.

What size is best for a nursery?

For a corner zone beside a crib, the 4×6 ft (6 tiles) works perfectly. For full nursery floor coverage, the 6×6 ft (9 tiles) is ideal for tummy time and early play.

How many tiles do I need for each size?

4×6 ft = 6 tiles, 6×6 ft = 9 tiles, 6×8 ft = 12 tiles, 6×10 ft = 15 tiles, 8×10 ft = 20 tiles, 8×12 ft = 24 tiles, 10×12 ft = 30 tiles. Edge pieces are always double the tile count.

Do the tiles leave visible joins when mats are combined?

No — the interlocking design means tiles join flush with no visible gaps or raised edges. Larger configurations like the 8×12 ft or 10×12 ft look and feel like one seamless mat.

What size playroom mat do you recommend?

For a dedicated playroom, the 8×12 ft (built from two 6×8 ft mats) is a popular playroom size. For a full-room cover, the 10×12 ft at 120 sq ft gives you complete padded floor coverage.
